I just started reading "Tomb of the Golden Bird" by Elizabeth Peters.  It is kind of bittersweet for me for two reasons.  The first is that when I finish those last two books (this one and A River in the Sky) there won't be anymore because Barbara Mertz, who wrote as Elizabeth Peters passed away in August of 2013.  So I'm a bit sad that there won't be anymore stories about my favorite fictional Egyptologist.  The second reason is more personal, and part of the reason I have waited almost 5 years to read these books.  You see, my mom and I used to read them and then talk about them.  In February it will 5 years since she's been gone.  I was very close to my mother, so some days are harder than others, and I still miss her everyday.  I've been wanting to read this for a while now, I just couldn't bring myself to do so.  I'll write a review when I am done with it.

Signing off for now,
